Refunds & Terms

The short version: FilesMac costs $5, once. That buys a lifetime licence with every future update included. If it isn't right for you, ask within 7 days for a full refund. No questions asked.

Refund policy

• 7 days, no questions asked. Ask within 7 days of your purchase and you'll get a full refund. You don't have to give a reason.
• How to ask: email chethan.2106@gmail.com from the address you bought with, or include your order number from your receipt.
• Where the money goes: refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Polar. Most banks show it within 5 to 10 business days.
• After a refund your licence key is revoked and your licence ends, so please delete FilesMac from your Mac. The exception is a refund earned by posting about FilesMac: you keep your licence after one of those.
• After 7 days sales are normally final. If something's broken, write to us anyway. We'd much rather fix it, and we'll be fair.

None of this limits any rights you have under consumer law where you live. If the law gives you more, you get more.

Terms of sale and use

Your licence

When you buy FilesMac, you get a personal, non-transferable licence key that activates it on up to3 of your Macs at a time. You can move it between Macs whenever you like by deactivating one first. Please don't share or publish your key, or resell it.

You can use FilesMac free for 7 days before buying.

What "lifetime" means

You pay once, and every update we release to FilesMac is included at no extra cost for as long as the app is available. There's no subscription and no paid upgrade. We can't promise any particular future feature, but whatever we ship, you get.

Payment

Polar sells FilesMac as the merchant of record: they process your payment, add any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issue your receipt. Their checkout terms apply to the transaction itself. Prices are in US dollars.

Your files

FilesMac works on real files: it moves, renames, trashes and saves them when you tell it to. We work hard to make it careful, but please keep backups of anything important (Time Machine is built in and free).

Warranty and liability

FilesMac is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything to do with FilesMac is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Changes won't take away the refund window or the lifetime updates you already bought.
